Straightforward and quiet
I was replacing the OEM motor for a 1/2HP Pentair pump - it's the same motor up to 1HP, just the service rating changes. The installation was as simple as any other pump I have replaced, and the result was an extremely quiet operation - the one I replaced was significantly noisier than my neighbor's AC system, so he's happy too! I can't talk to reliability, as it's only been in a month, but the construction appears to be in line with what it replaced, which, despite its shrieking, lasted for 8+ years. Pool pump
This pool pump at first had me worried but after a while it was perfect running quite nicely I am truly satisfied with the purchase price value. At my local pool shop they wanted to rebuild my pool pump for a price that was ridiculously too high almost double the price for a rebuilt pool pump that I didn't need.

The motor that I had for 7 years burned out and I wanted to replace it with the EXACT same motor and went to great lengths to make sure that it was exactly matching in all specifications. This is the same motor then that I bought 7 years ago, but somehow it seems much more powerful and runs fantastic. Don't know for sure if it is just that the old one was worn out at the last and seemed weak, or if it's that the new one is significantly advanced technologically and a much better more powerful motor. Purchased this to replace the motor on my Pentair Whisperflo pool pump. Bolted on, wired up, and has been running perfectly for a week. If you're repairing a pool pump, don't forget to to also order the required gaskets and seals.
