Every Coin Collector Should Own One
The economical price should convince anyone to give this little scope a try. I ordered 3, gave two to friends who, like myself, coin collectors. Here's what makes this one different from all other pocket scopes I have owned: 1) It is compact, so much so that it will fit in a 1.5" x 1.5" pouch (supplied with the scope). 2) It has extremely bright lighting from LED bulbs. 3) At 45x, it is a huge improvement over 15x and 20x scopes you and I may have used in the past. For example, I buy coins off eBay, and the other day a 1909 VDB Lincoln I had won at auction came in by mail. By observing the coin at 15x, I did not notice the white residue under Lincoln's chin. Using this tiny 45x scope, the white mass (probably from a previous cleaning) was plainly visible. I was in a position to ... Great little magnifier.
These things work. The light is very bright, and replacement batteries available everywhere. A lot easier to use than variable magnification, and you can use in any ambient lighting condition. As a mechanic, and home gardener, I've found tiny pin holes in carburetor diaphragms, and use it to check for unwanted critters on my vegetables or to verify excellent plant health.

Works for reading dates on coins.
Good for reading dates on found in the ground coins. Its a very small device and probably weighs 1/2 oz. . Its cheaply made but it works for me. I was expecting something a bit more sturdier. I comes with a nice little leatherette case. I use it at home to look at coins I found metal detecting. It has a nice bright lite and uses 3 button batteries. Lets see how long it lasts.

I liked it enoug to buy two more.
It generates a clear image, better than the other two mini microscopes I have and it does not invert the image which is terrific. One thing though, it is not 45X which is good because the depth of field is enough to have more of what you are observing in focus.
