It was a great experience with how it came so early. The only issue was the lightest crack on the plastic covering the pins where the SSD inserted. it was purely a cosmetic issue though and did not affect me at all. The only other problem I had was it being only for B key SSD when mine was a Samsung Evo, an M key. But it said that and I just didn't read it. Entirely my fault. Besides the cosmetic issue, great product!

Defective unit.
This unit that I got with a major problem was it's RESET button. Each time I pushed this button the units blinking LED's just keep doing what was going ON. That right off means the reset button does not short when it's pushed. I hooked a multimeter that was switched into it's ohm reader also does nothing when this reset button was pushed, bummer. With that I sent it back. PS The Multimeter I have is very accurate and it cost two hundred dollars to get one like that. bechase55This unit that I got with a major problem was it's RESET button. Great product but a bit complicated
This KIMAX box can be used for a number of solutions. As a Wifi NAS it can be used as a media server, wireless storage device, etc. The only issue is that it is a bit complicated to setup and understand. From using the web interface I can tell you it takes a bit of patients and experimenting to get setup. The "Reset-To-Factory" button is a saving feature of this device, ... so don't be afraid to try and if all goes wrong, reset and start over. The ultra-fast USB 3.0 port allow the device to loaded quickly and when unplugged the wireless access takes over. Be aware that when the device is plugged into a PC via the USB port storage cannot be accessed via a wireless connection. The SSID can bee seen and a connection established, but data on the drive cannot be accessed until the USB ... This KIMAX box can be used for a number of solutions. Great features with multiple operating modes.
The unit arrived with only Chinese instructions. But, after a call to the supplier we were able to get it set up and working. This unit effectively replaces a Dell computer as a network backup drive. Operating in "bridge" mode, it enables all wifi network devices to access the disk drive.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I purchased this item so that I could bring a 2TB with me where ever I go. The enclosure is lightweight a little bit longer then your standard external drive to make room for the wireless. I am using a 2TB black for the record.

WiFi That did not WORK!
If you use the USB port it works fine. But when you tried the WiFi Drive Enclosure nothing happened. Very bad instruction on how to set it up the Drive Enclosure And no install disk.
