Very easy to use, in my case calibration was not needed, it was quite accurate. One just has to have a little screwdriver to adjust output voltage. Be careful not to use for something a bove 2 A. It can power mid size cassete FM radio from a car battery with no problem.

For the price it is a good deal for low end products. There is some distortion however if using to power low quality sound equipment. It works great for bench testing various items requiring various low voltages. Fairly stable output.

I have many Christmas battery operated LED lights but they burn through batteries quickly. I converted them over to work on DC wall adapters but found after a time the device would fail even though I had the correct voltage on them. Then I picked a few of these buck step down modules. After connecting, I was able to adjust the voltage going into the LED device. I found that the item reached it's full brightness well below the normal voltage load. For example, if the device required 4 AA batteries or 6 volts, the item would reach full brightness as low as 4.5 volts. By running the device at the lowest voltage possible, this has helped prevent my other LED decorations from failing, so they work great!

This DC-DC power converter works well. I used it to step the voltage down from 28VDC (from a low voltage light control system installed in my house) to 5VDC to operate an Arduino UNO microcontroller. It provides ample power for the Arduino board and several relays I now use to control the lights in my house.

The voltage converter does exactly as described. The board doesn't handle much current before the regulator gets warm, so the 2A rating is definitely a maximum spec. Voltmeter was accurate, so no need for calibration. i am using the module to step down a 16V lithium ion battery pack to a usable 13.8V.
