    Honda 2017 tailgate lock

    Installation took about two hours. The installation was fairly easy the hardest part was figuring which wires to use when trying to figure out which wires to use do not use the key fob use the door unlock and door lock buttons on the door. It works with the auto lock and unlock of the truck. it works with the key fob and locks on the doors. It’s a very good product.

    Decent product for the price !

    Seen of good quality, easy to install into the tailgate latch, wiring under dash no problem. finding a good path under the undercarriage bit of a challenge. would be nice to have a longer wire to run a better path under neath. The plunger actuator is aggressive and loud but works fine.

    Great idea

    The mechanical part of the installation was super easy. Disassemble of the tailgate parts straight forward. The instructions were spot on. However, wiring this into your existing automatic locking system was a challenge…finding the wiring harness. getting the wire to a wiring harness to tap into…the wire color side provided in the instructions was accurate

    Complex but Simple

    The latch appears complicated by design but flips from lock to unlock effectively. The mechanism installed easily as detailed. The DC driver appears to be the same old solid performer it was in the past. The cable was exactly the right length and installation was quite straight forward. I need to suggest a full page color installation guide and a wiring connection drawing. I found some on the internet that worked great for me.
