    Good strong brackets

    They fit an American-spec 2x4, which is approx. 40mm x 90mm. Note that a British 2x4 is commonly 2" x 4" (50mm x 100mm) which this bracket won't fit! However, this fits the British CLS framing timber, which is 39mm x 89mm.

    Simpson Strong-Tie are great products.

    I would recommend these to anyone building a generic fence. If you are using any treated lumber definitely use the Strong-Tie products with the "Z" suffix.
