WYZE Smart Home Starter Pack Is A Smart Choice!
This WYZE Smart Home Starter Pack (7288) is an amazing choice for home security. I could not afford a more expensive camera option and was initially a bit skeptical if this would even work, as it was such a low price, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works and how easy it was to set up. I am older (61) but I had no problem getting it all set up by myself. (You will need to put the WYZE app on your smart phone and have home wi-fi set up and have your wi-fi password handy when you set up. I now feel much safer knowing what is going on and being able to control lights all over my house.The cam lets me know if someone is at my front door and I can even talk to them. It has night vision that actually works very well and you can zoom in to see who or what is there. (This cam is not supposed to be used outdoors, but mine is safe under a porch roof in a mild climate.) The sensors alert me if a door is opened at night or left open and can be set on schedules and can even trigger lights or the cam. The motion sensor alerts me if there is any motion in the room it is in and has a very wide range. I set it to only alert me at night and it also turns on a light. The bulbs work amazing and through the app I can turn lights on or off or dim them from anywhere and they can be set to turn on or off on schedules as well and also work with Google Assist or Alexa. The plugs can be used to turn anything on or off but I used mine for additional lights that are also able to be set on a schedule. I never have to walk into a dark room if I get up in the middle of the night again and I never have to fumble in the dark to turn on a light. Great bang for your buck with this starter set
I picked up a Wyze Cam a while back at a garage sale. It was so easy to setup and worked so well, I found a few others, then finally sprang for this starter kit for the hub and door/window sensors and bulbs. Not disappointed. Of course they all require good 2.4ghz wifi coverage in your home, but that's easy enough these days. They also require internet service unless you opt for home brew options like Home Assistant. Great stuff
I love this product and the story behind wyze. It was no problem to connect to my wifi. I was worried because there was very few instructions but just download the app and it walks you through it just have you wifi password ready you will need it. Make sure it is the right password the app wont tell you it's the wrong password it says try to type in the password again. Beyond Impressed!
I already had a Wyze Sense Kit and was thoroughly impressed with the quality, ease of set-up, and app features. So much so, that I bought this Starter Kit to really expand my smart home. The value of this Starter Kit is crazy great for all you get! I love that I can now trigger lights and other things to come on when there's been motion or an opened door. And the Wyze smart plugs and bulbs work through Alexa too! I could not be more impressed and have added 2 more cameras to the system for a total of 4. Camera-awesome.....Sensor- no good
Every WYZE product that I have owned has been a great cost-value purchase. The cameras are awesome, the value of them is superior to many others at a much higher price point, and they are user friendly. I have no negativity or complaints with the outlets or bulbs , the occasional rebooting is expected with wifi devices. The sensors however, are an enigma of development and software failure. If the battery dies in ANY sensor(V1) they are forever done. Replacing the battery does nothing! They positively fail to no return. WYZE doesn't even dismiss this, they simply discontinued them. I hope the next round improves on this. I currently have 6 sensors and 2 bridges that are useless.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful Wyze
Wyze continues to amaze. How can these devices be so cheap and yet perform as well as those that cost 5 times as much. Take the motion detector. It costs about $6 and works great. I have one in the basement so that when I approach the laundry room it turns on the lights. Works flawlessly. The lights are very well made and work perfectly. Of all the Alexa-compatible products, Wyze has been the easiest to set up and most dependable. Other WiFi plugs I’ve used would frequently need resetting and be “off-line” when I needed them the most—but not Wyze. Simple to set-up, assign routines. and group together. It automatically adds the devices to alexa’s inventory—no need to go in and do it yourself.
