At a time when Portland, OR and mainstream pop culture is offering up emo-suedo pop punk soundalikes-Audio Fatigue breaks the mold. The album starts with 'Nebulous' taking us on an interstellar journey. Next we are whisked across the Arabian Desert and 'Into A Grey Wide Open'. Keeping with the desert theme'Blues for Picasso' takes us into the American Southwest where we ride thru moonlit desert nites with sidewinders and scorpions. 'Machines That Fly' has been played on Portland's Kink 102 FM and is an uplifiting testament to human ingenuity and spirit. 'Aerial View' is a comtemplative piece reminescent of visitors from a far distant place and time. 'Racing with the Moon' picks up the pace, taking on a more rock tone and propels the listener to heights unencumbered. 'Glisten' lulls us into a very Madrigal foresty setting only to drop us into the textural tick-tock settings of 'A Clockwork Heart'. 'December' is a very brooding tune and takes us to the edge of our sensibilities. And lastly, 'Lord Stuart's Jig Pt I & II'- with it's heavy Scotish overtones- is a tribute to the late great Stuart Adamson of Big Country. Being a self produced CD, Audio Fatigue establishes itself as a force to be dealt with.
