    Great DVD Recorder

    I bought this HDD/DVD recorder as a backup to my HDD/DVD recorder (same model) because I love my recorder so much that I wanted to be sure to have one if my current one broke. It's great for recording movies and other programs off the air (and previously from Directv). It's easy to make new DVDs from the recordings.

    My Magnavox DVR

    I started buying the Magnavox DVR’s in 2012, and some of them last a long time, some don’t because of inferior parts being used on the power supply. I still have the original DVR robot in 2012 and it’s a real workhorse, never had a single problem with it with the exception of having to run a lens cleaner on the DVD periodically. I have two dead DVRs one is a 500 GB, and the other is a 1 TB model. Are used to be certified electronic technician and even ran my own repair shop for about 10 years. I still have those skills but my arthritis makes it difficult for me to do certain things. But I am going to give it a try.
