    INspect the bore before rebuilding

    THe old rusty Kawasaki master cylinder I rebuilt was not in great shape. After I honed the bore to get it clean and free of sdefects, and rebuilt it, it does leak some. I am sure the bore is somewhat oversize by at least a couple thousands of an inch. Bottom line: Take your master cylinder apart and inspect to bore before buying and installing a kit. You may need a new complete master cylinder,
