A Whole New Take on the "Agatha Christie" genre!
Unique Take on the "Agatha Christie" genre--and a lot of fun to boot. With Hallmark as the backer on the series, it had all the high standards and delightful story lines one has come to expect from Hallmark. These three stories set a pattern for what I hope becomes a long-running series. The story lines blend a murder mystery with an ongoing romance (and which beau will Hannah eventually choose?) as well as developing a sweet tooth since the main character Hannah (played by Alison Sweeney) is the owner--and baker--of a small-town bakery whose delectable creations are the talk of the town. But, as so often happens when some entrepreneur comes up with a highly successful venture, jealousy eventually raises its ugly head--and murder soon follows. Joined by one of the town police officers (played by Cameron Mathison), the two solve whatever crime the criminal for that episode has thrown at them. Of course, his being a possible suitor often plays into their own rivalry over who will indeed fine the needed clues first. All I can say is that I hope Hallmark will make sure more episodes are made (there are, as of his writing, only four--all having something to do with a particular sweet bakery delight.
