Great invention ! No more spending hrs cleaning up !
I just installed it last week so I will not see how well it will work until I have my next oil change. Its a great idea ! Craftsman should have included this on the new mowers. From the factory they place the oil drain plug right on the deck of the mower so when you pull the plug oil goes all over into ever crack and even when you spend hours whipping off the oil it drips on the ground for a week after you try to clean it up. Briggs & Stratton Oil drain extension
The hose dangles out over the side of the tractor frame (not a big problem) but it does solve the annoying design flaw in my Craftsman and a lot of other brands of lawn tractors of oil draining all over the tractor frame, garage floor or driveway while changing oil. It's simple to install, but I did have to use a lever to lift up a steering arm for clearance. No big deal. Replaced drain valve. Much better now.
Used on a 17.5HP Gets the oil away from the frame of the tractor, tucks easily into the cowling behind the motor when not in use. Seals with a short hex plug. No tube to loose, it's attached. no twist and pull valve to deal with. It's a tube with a plug. Nice!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
