This Sony PSP 3000 is a redesign of the original launch version of the Sony PSP. Released in 2008, it features a built-in microphone, a thinner, more elegant design, and a beautiful form factor. It has an enhanced LCD screen with a richer color range and five times the contrast ratio. It also features anti-reflection technology for better playability in well-lit areas and even outdoor environments. This device has 64 MB of integrated flash memory for faster load and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to 2.5 hours of playability. The PSP offers a Wi-Fi connection that allows users to connect to the internet. You can access new dimensions of the titles you love from any Wi-Fi hotspot or signal, including free patches and a firmware update, massive multiplayer modes, and scoreboards with people from all around the world. The Sony PSP also has an external Memory Stick Duo so that you can expand the available storage. This allows you to download your games from the PlayStation Network onto a memory stick so that you can always save your progress without ever having to worry about not being connected to the web. With plenty of downloadable content and more than 900 games available for the PSP-3000, gamers can enjoy nearly endless possibilities. Sony has even made a number of earlier-generation PlayStation games available on this PSP console, so you can enjoy some of the classics that are otherwise very difficult to find. The PSP-3000 is finished in gorgeous piano black, and it features a range of buttons for the easy execution of every necessary command. Discs can easily be inserted into the slot along the back of the device. The entire device measures 2.9 inches by 6.7 inches by 0.9 inches, so it comfortably rests in your hands. You shouldn't experience strain even after hours of nonstop play. The device also weighs less than half a pound, so it's easy to hold even for children.

    Great fun

    Brings back memories, playing the PSP with my son's. I've always liked the compact design and excellent graphics. I know the world has moved on from the PSP but it's a nice gaming experience.

    my thoughts

    Was looking for something to play games and such when I travel this fits the bill nicely. Fairly good selection of games you can get for it and can even play the Japanese version games. Has a camera attachment so in a pinch you can take pictures with it. I have not used the camera so I can't say how good it is.
