    Beautifully made, they may be carbon stainless steel, great as gifts.

    The knife is supposed to be made from carbon steel with stainless outer layer. I resharpened it in my 12000 grit stone and they're sharp more than how they came. By the sound of the metal it sounds like steel but light in weight. Very beautiful polish on them however they're made in China. The pairing knife is not heavy at all it feels like it's cheap plastic, had to work out harder to add more sharpness. There are better knife sets which i highly recommend!!
