It features auto exposure, built-in flash, autofocus and built-in motor drive to allow you to take the quality pictures you need. It supports the Canon EF lens mount that is handled by a dedicated motor in the lens. Use its Custom Function 4 to move autofocus from the shutter release when you don't want to use it. Canon EOS-5 QD has an interchangeable focusing screen that can be exchanged from the lens mountas well as a fixed eye-level pentaprism viewfinder that allows you to enjoy the maximum possible coverage of actual picture area.

    Great Camera

    I've always been a manual focus fan, but this Canon is wonderful. Great image quality right out of the gate, without even having read the manual. Its lightweight, but manages to feel like a quality machine anyway. I love it!

    Too cool to be compared with other SLR cameras

    So far I've scanned one roll, and it shows far greater photo quality than I expected! Photos I am adding are taken using a 15-year-old Fujifilm C200, and they look flawless to me at least (:
