    Canon 500D is all the camera you need to get starting taking great photos!

    Canon has they're own names for various functions but you learn them quick and the location of features on the camera are intuative and easy to find. Battery life is good but always carry a couple extra batteries with and digital camera. 15.1 MP is plenty of resolution for posting images online and printing in smaller formats.

    Good camera

    Within the first two weeks was working great, use to have an xsi and this one Takeshi excellent pictures, but as my xsi within 3 weeks it started with problems related to the flash not popping up, sound like it tríes 3 tomes but nothing happen. I Still can take good photos with out the flash.

    Great Low Cost Canon T-series DSLR That Shoots Video

    If you are in the market for a basic digital SLR that also shoots simple 720 video, and are lucky enough to find one in good shape for a good price, snatch it up! The 500D (T1i ) is the first Canon EOS in the line of T-series that shoot video as well as stills. I have a 50D that gets set aside when I go on vacations because this versatile and low cost 500D does everything I need in a compact package. There's still nothing like the 40D, 50D and so on when you want more technical features, but the T1i can't be beat for value.

Just taking this item to a repair shop would cost me more than the price of the item.
