    Great versatile dot matrix printer

    I have used a lot of printers, at home and at work. The Panasonic kxp1123 is one of the best black & white printers. The ribbons are still readily available, and the ink doesn't run like an inkjet. The 24 pins allow it to be quite legible in condensed mode. I'm running a DOS program at work and it requires a printer with a parallel input, as opposed to the USB that most new printers use. A dot matrix printer can print carbons, unlike a laser or inkjet. The panel on the front allows you to select different fonts, and even turn off the out of paper sensor(something most won't). That allows me to print to the bottom of a page. It also accepts fan fold paper(tractor feed) as well as cut sheets. This makes it a lot easier to print banners or long data outputs. You can also easily control fonts ...
