Great recreational drone
I researched and purchased the Bebop II for my 11 year old son. Therefore, I was less interested in video quality as I was interested in the "fun" factor. The video quality is good. It is HD (720p I believe). So while there may be drones with 4k video out there, this video is more than adequate for recording. What this drone has over dedicated video drones is its manauverability and the ability to take a bit more abuse. The Bebop II has a sensor that prevents most hard landings but because the camera doesn't sit on a gimble under the drone, a bit of a hard landing doesn't affect it. We did get a uv filter lens cover to protect the camara lens from forward impacts. The only major downside that we have come across is that people have had problems with the wall charger not maintaining the batteries properly. We did get an aftermarket balance charger. Unfortunately cables aren't readily available to allow standard LIPO battery chargers from being used. We have great charges for RC cars that we should be able to have used.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't buy mid-range or higher drones from here
Their ad claims to carry a warranty, but they definitely do not. Mine had malfunction that caused it to fly away and was unrecoverable. Keep in mind that these types of things happen often in the drone world, however, parrot and all mid-high end range drones can pull your flight log in determining the cause. If it was malfunction, you receive a replacement. Mine was a malfunction and not a pilot error. Only challenge, propellers can fly off on landing.
Have you ever loss one or more of your propellers on your bebop 2 drone? I HAVE SEVERAL TIME! Usually on a hard landing. It is frustrating and shouldn't happen but it does. Well here is the product that is a solution to preventing that from happening again. These Bebop 2 Propeller Plugs are easy to install and works great. Just using your figures, mainly your tum, press Bebop 2 Propeller Plugs into the larger propeller holes. They lock the propellers in place and will not let them unlock. I haven't loss a propeller since installing the Bebop 2 Propeller Plugs. You can find them on Ebay, just search for “bebop 2 propeller plug”. Happy flying. Back again
I have gone thru several of these over 5 years. 14 mp camera does it. Plus the small tilt up allows for great captures of sunrises and sunsets. I had a 4k which wouldn't tilt up at all and that affects the cloud colors considerably. A 10 inch tablet on this controller is crazy. Always reliable. Price is stupid for pic quality.

New to the Drone Flights
my wife got this for me this 2016 Xmas. I purchased to video great places from above. I'm 61 years old but I wanted to try it anyway. I did not want it for flight tricks just video.
