    OEM over Aftermarket JUNK

    I purchased this OEM Toyota Door-Check to replace the cheap-O aftermarket one that I installed and that failed on my 2007 Toyota Tundra. This allowed my door to crash into my front fender!!! In turn, this bent my upper hinge and allowed for a windy sounding drive when the window was all the was up. So not only did I have to replace the door check, I had to remove the fender and prime and paint the edge that was rubbing on the door. I also replaced the upper and lower hinges to pull the door in and quiet it up. Door edge was raised where it rubbed on the fender, so it needed a little black-smithing, prime and paint. Sooooooooooo you pay for what you get is true. The rubber seemed a lot more durable on the OEM than the aftermarket was in pieces and falling apart, well fell apart.
