    OEM Mercedes but does not fit the R107

    I bought this as a replacement hood badge of an ‘83 R107, based on the application data that it will fit. It does not. The 2 locator pins are too close together by 1-2 mm. If you want to use this on an R107 you must use a round Swiss-type file and slot the top hole towards the lower hole that has the plastic bushing. Do this until it fits. If you just try to push it on, one or the other of the pins will shear off and you will have to use double-sided tape to mount it.

    Not a complete kit

    The emblem is of good quality but it has no fasteners to hold it on the hood. It needs to be a complete emblem kit with the fasteners to hold it in place. Not satisfied at all because I can’t install it on my car. Will have to order another emblem with the fasteners.
