- *****- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseMy first time I used the firebox. It reached temp quickly and was easy to maintain @ 220. It did a good job smoking 2 racks of pork short ribs that I hung on the hooks, while also cooking other items on the racks. I am disappointed on two counts. The firebox charcoal grate deformed after the first use. The second use, I used the charcoal pan. Even at full load, it never went over 150 degrees. This is a "firebox only" smoker. To call it a grill is a misrepresentation.
