I got this to replace my old 8gig pink NWZ-A728. I wanted the extra space of the NWZ-E475 and its included FM Radio. The player is awesome. The same great audio-enhancing features from my previous player are still there. (I wouldn't have wanted it if it didn't have the Customizable EQ) the battery life is fantastic. My complaints are that the buttons are very flush with the face of the rest of the player, thus it is sometimes hard to tell what I am pressing when the player is in my pocket (not a problem on the A728, which had nice tall square buttons). The other issue is that it doesn't reset back to play mode after you've left it in something like EQ Adjustment or the menu screen. So if you pull your player out to pause the music when you're trying to listen to someone, you get frustrated when you press the pause and the music just keeps going. The Radio Mode leaves the screen on, unlike the MP3 mode, so it does drain battery life more. A dumb decision on Sony's part. A stronger internal antenna would also have been nice as even strong stations that are normally picked up clear in a car don't pick up very well on the player. The screen is also smaller than what it was on my A728, but then again I don't really use my MP3 player to watch videos. The earbuds that came with the player are a different type which have a plastic back instead of silver cylindrical backs. These black buds have a touch more treble than I am used to, so whushing sounds in techno music and cymbals are a little sharp, adjusting the EQ doesn't fix this, surprisingly. But it's fine as I bought an extra set of the white colored, silver backed buds that came with my A728 (you can find these being sold on Ebay, but make sure it's the silver backed model, not the plain white backed model). If Sony came out with another version with more storage space, better shaped buttons, a stronger antenna and some of the menu glitches fixed, I would totally buy it. I'm not into touch screen interfaces. I like to feel my buttons, so later models with such tech in them don't interest me.Read full review
I love this mp3, lots of memory space available for all the music you want to store, plus extra storage for pictures, as well. The more I use it, though, I noticed that it's battery life is not as long as the 8GB mp3 that I have. I planned to give away my 8gb MP3 but now I changed my mind. It has 3 times longer battery life that this 16 GB. The buttons are super sensitive, too. Just a slight touch of a button and the song would either stop or change to another song. Overall, though, this 16GB MP3 is great, would not hesitate to recommend it to friends/anyone.
The Sony Video Player offers great versatility. The separate volume buttons on the side make it more versatile. The sound is crisp and offers terrific volume no matter what headphones I use. The screen and graphics are very clear and easy to read. If I were to find a fault is the headphone jack at the bottom. I prefer it to be at the top or at the side. Another minor problem to me and it's my preference, is that there is no clip, or place to secure it to your clothing or a place for a lanyard, other than that it's a perfect little machine.

great walkman, it is small, works fast, the battery is pretty good. I've bought it to replace my cowon iaudio 10 which got broken after year and few months(the screen stopped working without outer damage). It is great, nice audio features, the material of the device is better then the cowon (metal vs plastic) good for sport, there are many silicon protective cases, it is very intuitive the downgrades the main downgrade of this device is that there is NO HEBREW SUPPORT Sony mentioned it on their site, but since almost every device supports almost every language this is pretty occurred. the second downgrade is that the walkman never actually powered off. it goe's into some kind of sleep mode, and got powered up again when you touch any button, i believe that it drains the battery faster, and it is pretty shame because i prefer wait a 5-10 seconds for a powerup then charging more often. summary I've order the device even so because the Price-per-Value of it was the best i could find at the time (~65 bucks for 16GB) and there are no good replacements for this price except maybe cowon iaudio, which are less durableRead full review
For starters, I am a huge fan of Sony. Despite the normally high cost, its design, quality and after service always made me fall in love with its gadgets, especially mp3 players. Now, I can't go without saying that I've been always the one who believes that Sony mp3s have the best sound quality among others except certain gadgets with additional amp. To tell the truth, this product's sound quality didn't really impress me, for the reason I presume that I own a high-end ear-phone which is best met with iPhone... Yet, its design and simple interface are still fascinating, including its function enabling any high definition of pictures be shown on the screen. And of course, being able to just drag-n-drop is a great feature all by itself. Overall, if you're looking for a portable mp3 player with easy function and cozy experience, this is the one and nothing else. Just a heads up, it is NOT a high-end all function-compacted smart device. Thanks😄Read full review
