  • First year anniversary, the gift of PAPER!

Celebrating our one year anniversary, I hoped to find a special item to give to my husband and it had been suggested that the gift be in the form of paper. As he is a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in addition to being an accomplished model railroad builder, I thought that this scale model (in paper form)would prove to be a great find. It exceeded all expectations! The cut and assemble book is unique and engaging. The book, constructed from lightweight cardstock, is highly detailed with clear step by step descriptive instructions for assembling the structure. The model is very accurate in lifelike design, requires an above average skill level and has shown me that good things can come in "flat packages". My husband loved the item, was surprised that something like this was ...

  • Frank Lloyd Wright DIY Model

When I saw this interesting book/kit for sale, I knew it would be a great gift for my 12 year old nephew who wants to be an architect when he grows up. Each page of this book is made of a sturdy cardstock (or heavier) grade material. When cut out correctly and assembled, a model of Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House will stand before you. When my husband saw the book, he became somewhat jealous that I did not buy it for him. I soothed his jealousy a little by suggesting that he can help his nephew assemble the model when we give it to him. This book/kit is a nice and original gift idea for people of all ages who are interested in architecture, enjoy low-tech things/hobbies and have a good amount of concentration. Perhaps making a model is even a good way to encourage one's ability to ...

  • FUn with Robie House

This is a real fun book. I bought this book so that my children could get an appreciation for the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright. To tell the truth, once it came, I didn't want them to pieces out to assemble the house. I got over it. We did the project as a family and had a great time of it. The kids now have a better appreciation for Wright's work. THey were also able to learn a little bit more about their grandfather who died before they were born. He was a draughtsman with a keen appreciation for Wright. It was fun to share tales of my childhood and times spent with my dad exploring Wright's work.

  • Nice Paper Model!

This paper model is really nice with good quality printing on good paper. I have yet to cut it out and put it together but I've done a bunch of these so It shouldn't be a problem. What a cool house! -Mike
