    great value you are asked half or more at local salvage yards and you are getting a unit exposed to rust and dirt. tis is brand new oem in the box new. HEY READ THIS ,,,,,,,,,,,, my truck came from New York ..... I had a flat ..... tried to lower spare the week before cause Chevrolet had added a secondary safety latch , My spare lowered a bit so I winched up and thought it was okay ....WRONG Next Sunday had a flat in snow ... unit was rusted , wouldn't release .4 and 1/2hours at last a roll back showed up , Kid said I can get that off ,,,but it will break winch ,. He lowered the dolly lift chained the spare ,extended and raised lift chained lift to spare .lowered lift .pow !!!! it slid out of the truck , I could have reused winch but this one gave peace of mind ...

    INSTALL EASY BUT...

    I Had to machine the "bell" so it would fit through the hole in the spare tire rim. After careful grinding ( a little at a time ) for about 20 min things fit and all was well.

    some modifcation needed

    everything was a match except the part that holds the tire in place. I had to grind some additional clearance in order to slide the tire holder thru the center hole of the wheel .
