    Interesting Cooking Method

    I waited for the price to drop to $150 vs the usual $200. Good value at $150. I use it with an 8 quart hard side Rubbermaid container. It fits the tub perfectly and a cover is available. There's good Anova website support as well as recipe websites. The largest item I've cooked so far is a 5lb corned beef with plenty of room to spare. The heater and circulator motor are perfectly capable of maintaining temp to within one degree or better. While there is a control panel on the unit, I find the app for my iPhone is easier to use. Either way, pretty simple, temp and time. Set it and forget it. Unit appears to be well built. If you enjoy exploring different cooking methods, you'll love this.

    Awesome, awesome, awesome

    The Anova cooker is unreal. Easy to use, its extremely well built, and the food it creates is beyond delicious. I made a 2.5 pound brisket cooked at 135 for 3 days. Pulled it out, smoked it for an hour and was left with one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. So tender and juicy, I have never had brisket like it. If you want to cook restaurant (heck better than restaurant) quality food, you need to buy this device.

    Anova Sous Vide a rock star in my kitchen

    This Sous Vide, at 900 watts, heats water quickly prior to food bag immersion, and cooks accurately and evenly for superb tasting meats, fish, fowl, pork, and vegetables! Food is moist and flavorful. You can buy “side car accessories” but only a stainless pot is required to get started. Connected easily to the app which supports Bluetooth and WiFi (and I use these features often). You won’t be disappointed if you purchase one of these gems. You should also, however, contemplate Joule’s Sous Vide which is a slightly more expensive product and has a better application for guiding you through the cooking process. Sous Vide is generally four steps: 1) Season/Marinate 2) Preheat and add food bags to bath 3) Slow cook 4) Seer/Finish Bob Appétit!

    Everything cooks to perfection!

    With this tool everything you cook is done to perfection, and without any real work or skill. I would recommend buying it if for only to make hamburgers. I know that sounds silly. It's just that the hamburgers I just made were so amazing I'm already dreaming about making more. I just made some chicken that everyone at the table said was the best that they ever had. All I did was put frozen boneless skinless chicken thighs in a bag along with a little oil and seasoning. It was that easy. Overall great product.

    Precise and easy to use

    Based on readings from a calibrated digital thermometer, the Anova cooker is able to hold a specific temperature within 1/2 of a degree Fahrenheit. It's easily set, either manually or via the Bluetooth link to an iPhone. And it runs quietly, which is a big plus. Because of the accuracy and consistency, it can get a soft boiled egg to exactly the right consistency. It can cook fish, such as tuna, wahoo and mahimahi, to just the right point. Those particular fish are easily dried out if even slightly overcooked.
