It's a good idea but awkward in its implementation. The seat design has dimples for the “sit bones” but the raised areas in front push against the rider’s thighs (even though they pivot). The indentations should instead extend all the way to the front. The pivoting action is strange feeling because there’s a sense of the seat coming loose. Pros are that once over the sliding sensation, the seat does ride okay and evens out bumps that would be much harder on a standard saddle. It can only be used on a cruiser-type bike with upright sitting position. One major con is if the bike needs to be stopped suddenly, the rider is thrown forward by the pivoting action. This happened to me and could have been a bad accident.

It is hard to sit on. It said it was jel but it is very hard jel. It must be shaped for someone else because no matter how I adjust it, I can't find a way to make it comfortable. I just folded up a large towel and tied it on top and now I can ride around the block a few times.

I am a 58-year-old female who never did learn to drive. I have been using this seat since 2001. Of course, at the beginning it was awkward and difficult, but after a short time I was extremely happy with the seat. This seat is the best for those females who have endometriosis or any other painful health issues as this seat prevents the bumps and aches of the old traditional seat. And, as a woman who only wears skirts, well this is the perfect seat once again.

Works as I'd hoped on the old exercise bike. Be prepared, though, to buy a bike seat clamp.
