Is the Airaid intake tube worth it? Well that depends on you and what you are looking for. It definitely cleans up the under hood area and simplifies the engine bay. It eliminates the factory air baffles which is a bonus. This makes working around that area under the hood easier and gives it a slight increase in air intake sound which is also nice. I did some research and watched some YouTube videos before I made my decision, and in one of these they claimed an increase in horsepower in the lower rev range yet the same peak power and I would have to say that according to my butt Dyno I would have to agree, it does seem a bit more peppy down low and has a better throttle response which seems snappier. This could be just from trying to test it out though instead of normal driving to where it seems that way, who knows? but just driving around it seems the same. My major complaint other than the price for a plastic tube, is the large bump on the inside. This Airaid intake tube looks very nice from the outside but on the inside they’ve cast a large bump to plug the bracket in on the radiator hose to it, which in my opinion is a major design flaw on a tube that is supposed to be all about increasing airflow, and I would’ve much rather used a zip tie if I chose to use one at all. There are also small little bumps all throughout the inside that must be some kind of flaw because they were not listed in the description and they look much like beads of water stuck to the inside. So is it worth it? Well it kind of depends on what you’re looking for, if you want that whooshing sound of an open air cone filter then this will probably disappoint you. If you want that under hood bling then this would only be for people who are in the know since it does kind of looked factory being a black plastic tube versus the shiny aluminum cone filter air intakes you can buy. If you want a little bit more of everything and still run a factory airbox then this would be for you, and is probably the best option on the market at this point, but it could be better. So if you want a more subtle air intake that runs a factory airbox then this is it, if you want that major under hood bling, buy any shiny aluminum tubed cone filter, and if you want that whooshing sound when you give it gas, get any air intake tube with an exposed cone filter. But if you want the best air intake tube on the market that only adds upon what the factory designed without any drawbacks, then this is it. Read full review

This is a good quality product with great fit and finish. It did lower my recorded intake air temps over the stock tube, and great wide open power once I got it tuned in..... BUT....very disappointed in the daily performance, minimal throttle opening just made it loud and felt flat in power, both empty and worse when towing, with a substantial drop in MPG. Several different tuning changes didn't help it. Future cam and exhaust work may help it, but its not helping a stock set up at all. So If your looking for upper end air flow for hot rodding power then this MAY be for you. But if your just a stock run around grocery getter, don't waste your money.
