The software is old, but the kit is cool, and you can make it work!
Had quite a few issues getting this to work. The software expects Win98, so I had to install VMWare VMPlayer and an old copy of Win98. Also, since my computer no longer had a COM serial port I had to get a USB to serial adapter. (NOTE: USB isn't supported Microsoft's Virtual PC, so use VMWare's VM). Also, the firmware would not download with the included software, so I had to use BricxCC for that. Regular programs would download however. Other than that the kit is cool and my son is having lots of fun with it.Had quite a few issues getting this to work.
