In this latter-day platform shooter from unconventional publisher O~3 Entertainment, players make an emergency stop on the planet known as Earth -- to blast away nosy FBI agents, clueless humans, and just about anything else that moves. Based on the popular newgrounds.com Flash animation game by Tom Fulp (programming) and Dan "Synj" Paladin (character design), Alien Hominid casts players in the title role -- a cute little yellow extraterrestrial with a powerful ray gun, an itchy trigger-finger, and a dearth of patience for lower life forms.<br><br>Like the online "prototype," console versions of Alien Hominid feature a cartoonish, hand-animated, cel-shaded look, with lots of larger-than-life explosions and shamelessly violent sound effects. The alien can jump, duck, fire in all directions, and slice through opponents who get too close for a blast from his trusty zapper. The game's developers cite classic side-scrolling shooters such as Contra, Gunstar Heroes, and Metal Slug as inspiration, and this influence is easy to see in Alien Hominid's fast-paced action, relentless onslaughts of enemies, entertaining power-ups, and big boss battles.

I'm not waiting a week to tell you that I am never ordering from this vendor again. Zero customer service, when I try to contact its not delivered. I appreciate the fact the game came quickly however the game though described as "very good" in condition didn't run in my Xbox and no matter what I did it will not read it. It's only 3 dollars but if it is advertised as very good then it should be so. Safe to say I am very disappointed in this vendor and the product that I payed for.

A good price for a cool PSP game, shipped promptly and packaged well. However, the UMD shell arrived cracked so the item wasn't exactly in good condition. The disc itself was fine. Rather than return the item, the seller offered a refund directly. I used the refund to buy some replacement UMD shells and got it working. The replacement UMD shells cost about as much as the item itself. But the seller did the right thing without hesitation, so they have my thanks. Thank you!

    Way ahead of its time

    Not too familiar with this title, but I watched a few moments of it on YouTube and found it hilarious! The way he dances while standing in neutral, and the way he shakes his butt when shooting directly up without moving had me laughing. Some games nowadays don't look this good, closest game I could compare it to would be Cuphead. But cuphead obviously came way later, so it is possible this was where they got the idea with art style on cuphead... Its definitely a psychedelic game, so if your into that kind of stuff, try Alien Hominid with some psychedelics!

    Alien hominid ROCKS

    For anyone who&apos;s played the online version, this game is great ,even without playing it online, its amazingly better. So many cool hats to unlock, such as top hat, afro and a mohawk and a full head of hair even a princess hat or two! So many of them, and the game is a great side scroller, challenging without a doubt, but having story mode 2 player coopertive, at any time just by pressing start during play with another controller, awesome. The art work and special weapons are so fun to use, and the levels are each unique, and so great, level 2 is a awesome car level. And also if you input your name as certain things at the options menu, you get certain hats! Just look it up and you&apos;ll see a few to enter! but the rest of the hats you need to unlock in game, however there are ...

    Alien Hominid

    What don&apos;t you like about this game? First off, I remember playing this game on Newgrounds.com, it was one of the best games ever created online. Now that they have ported it to the Gamecube and PS2, I have been looking for it ever since. Couldn&apos;t find it until this seller had it. Plus, you can play with up to 3 other people. The graphics are nicely drawn to attract some attention but not too much that it would be a distraction. The only downside to it is that it&apos;s 2-player Co-op, which it&apos;s 4 players for mini-games. Overall, very good game to kill time with if you want to just play for 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, etc. It is easy to pick up too.

    Kicks Ass! Very Fun!

    If you liked old school Contra then you will really love this. It&apos;s two player, 2D playing. I like this because even though I am good at Video Games, some of the games nowadays are just too optioned out! Too many controls! Too many views! I could go on and on. Alien Hominid is a great 2 person fun game. Some minor cartoon blood and guts (no worse than itchy and scratchy on the simpsons) Have Fun Playing!
