This seller (proaudiostar) was fantastic across the board! The item was listed as "open box" so the price was a great deal, but I can't for the life of me tell where the box was opened. All of parts were factory sealed in plastic and zip-tied together on cardboard panels, just like brand new. The icing on the cake was that shipping was free and very fast. Based on my experience I just ordered another "open box" item from this seller with no hesitation whatsoever.

This was listed as "open box", so I called the shop to ask for more details. Someone answered the phone right away, which was a great sign, and they told me it was a new guitar that had been returned. When I got the delivery, the outer shipping box was a little beat up, but everything else was basically brand new, tags on, plastic wrap still on the fretboard. I barely had to tune it and it was ready to play. I am very happy with this purchase and the seller.

    One of the best heavy metal amps.

    To be back to first review....mesa boogie only wish to make amp like this. I bought this amp 4 years ago at ams and during this 4 years I can say something about it. This is one of the best heavy metal amps available on the market with price up to $ 1000. Period. Just install JJ 6l6 and JJ in preamp section and add Celestion G12T 75 and you will hear what you got. Clean channel is the best of any clean channels in different amps I heard before. Also very wide spectrum of equalizer pots allow you to get sound of your dream. Another important thing is that this amp sound great at low volume and full power. It is really very versatile amp about different styles of heavy metal. So in price range about $900 you got amp other amps makers asking few thousands. Also is worthy to try this ...

    Fantastic Versatile Amp

    I've owned numerous amps over the years and this is by far one of the most versatile heads I own(ed). I mainly use it for studio work so it is usually cranked much louder than it ever is during a show. I leave the attenuator nearly maxed during studio usage. Some reviews mention a hiss, only time I've ever had a hiss is when using a boost or additional gain pedal in front of the amp. Although most players doing this will also have a gate available. Yet even when having the lead channel gain higher the "hiss", if you want to call it that, is no different than that off a Mesa Triple Recto or Krank Rev. Definitely less hiss than a 5150/6505+.
