About this product

Product Information

Included in the DP7 drum mic package is the D6, Audix's flagship kick drum mic, two- D2's for rack toms, one D4 for floor tom, the i5 for snare, and a pair of ADX51s for overhead miking. Also included are four D-Vice rim mount clips for the snare and tom mics, and three heavy duty tension fit mic clips for the other three mics. Everything is conveniently packaged in a foam-lined aluminum carrying case road case for safe keeping when the mics are not in use.

This was listed as "open box", so I called the shop to ask for more details. Someone answered the phone right away, which was a great sign, and they told me it was a new guitar that had been returned. When I got the delivery, the outer shipping box was a little beat up, but everything else was basically brand new, tags on, plastic wrap still on the fretboard. I barely had to tune it and it was ready to play. I am very happy with this purchase and the seller.

This seller (proaudiostar) was fantastic across the board! The item was listed as "open box" so the price was a great deal, but I can't for the life of me tell where the box was opened. All of parts were factory sealed in plastic and zip-tied together on cardboard panels, just like brand new. The icing on the cake was that shipping was free and very fast. Based on my experience I just ordered another "open box" item from this seller with no hesitation whatsoever.

    Great all in one mic case with tons of room

    Quite possibly one of the best mic cases out there for drum mic's and more . So much room inside to fit enough mic's for your whole drumkit all in one case plus unlike most other cases there's extra room for all your drum mounts or mic cables inside this one too . Very well thought out layout design inside with the form fitted foam .

    Best for me

    The best I've ever used microphones to record drums. And on stage are the best too. The D6 KICK to capture the natural sound of it, needing almost no equalization. The i5 is great for the SNARE and also to capture the sound of guitar amplifiers. The D2 TONS us are great. Now in the D4 FLOOR TONES, is what sets him better. The ADX51 are perfect for the hi-hat, overheads, acoustic guitar, snare bottom, cajon. In short, it is an excellent set of microphones. I use and recommend to anyone who wants a quality sound to use. This is my set the stage for both private and for the studio.

    AUDIX DP series drum mics - THE choice of SERIOUS professionals ....

    I bought these as I had a chance to use a dp7 kit to record with before, and they were without a doubt the BEST drum mics I had ever used, so I made a vow that MY studio would be using AUDIX mics exclusively in our setup .... I REALLY like the 'plug n' play' factor of these mics ....hook them up ...and record ... get an awesome sound without alot of hassle .... its that simple ....     Great sound for your Studio drums

    I already tested it for Studio applications and I'm very happy with it. I suggest you to buy an extra i5 for snare bottom (you don't need an extra one for hi hat, the overheads do this job well enough). The i5 is also great for recording guitar amps and the d6 does a great job when using it for bass amps. All in all I'm very satisfied.
