    BUGERA V55HD INFINIUM 55W 2 CHANNEL TUBE HEAD

    Turned out to be better than expected. I've heard some negative things about Bugera because it's owned by the same company (Music Group) that owns Behringer but they also own TC Electronics, TC Helicon, Tannoy and others. This was a remanufactured amp so I think they updated it to better specs. Didn't see any cold solder points. Still don't know about road-worthiness because of possible thin circuit boards but it does sound great. I don't travel far with my equipment and it goes in my car so really no danger of extreme jarring, etc. Clean channel I very clean and gain channel is very quiet when gain is up and not playing. Reverb sounds good and the channel/reverb footswitch is virtually noiseless and works well.

    Tube tone on a budget

    Amp has a great clean sound that takes pedals well. Plenty loud enough to jam with a drummer, especially through a 4x12 cab. Dive channel is not as versatile, but does provide a vintage crunch suitable for blues/classic rock. For best results I keep the master cranked and use the preamp volume for level control. The digital reverb is acceptable, though nothing special and sounds best at milder levels. Pentode/triode switch on the back is nice for keeping the neighbors from calling the cops. Effects loop is nice but a level control would make it even better. It is a handsome amp head, and seems solid enough to gig with. One of the only things I dislike is the lack of channel indicator LED on the face of the amp. There is one on the included footswitch though, which seems a little flimsy ...

    Clean California Sunshine

    I love the clean channel and how well it takes pedals. I personally use mainly the clean channel and pedals. A very solid amplifier. 10/10 for Affordability, good sound, reliability, and road-tested durability. This will be on my backline for years to come.
