Works well and easy to use.
I originally bought this phone set for call blocking due to all the junk calls we get. I forgot you need caller id to make this work and the land line phone company wants an extra $10/month for this so this was a no go. Still, it works for me as a call screener as I set the phone to two rings only and then listen for the caller to leave a message to decide if I will pick up. The nice part is that message comes through every handset so no matter where you are in the house, you can hear the message and decide to pick up or not. Also, if there is no message after a short time, it will not record anything so I don't have any blank messages waiting for me. It also has bluetooth capability for two cellphones so I may just drop the landline altogether and use the cell link instead. They look ... I really like this phone system
It has good sound quality, it paired up with my cell phone easily (Samsung phone) works like it is supposed to and I like the battery backup function since in the winter power can go out often here for several hours at a time. It downloaded my cell address book with no issues, tells me when there is a text and where it came from. It has lots of bells and whistles you can choose to use (more than I want to play with) if you like or you can keep it simple like I do. It works with a landline AND up to 2 cell phones as well, it will pair with a bluetooth headphone to use with your calls if you like. It can work with both landline and cell phones and you can be on a call on each at the SAME TIME if you need. It can be a bit sensitive to interference from the microwave oven in the next room when ... You can choose different ringtones for different people and also for different cell phones/landline. You can tell each individual handset when it can and can't ring (great for handsets in the bedroom) and you can tell it to only accept calls from one source (ie- landline, cell 1 or cell 2). It has volume adjust on the side of each handset and it gets plenty loud enough for me with a mild hearing loss in one ear and moderate in the other. My daughter who has severe vision issues immidiately appreciated, out loud, the big buttons on the handsets as we unwrapped them. I have the system set to cell only mode where it doesn't even look for a landline. I also have it only paired to the house cell as my other cell I really don't get calls on, but you can pair it to two cell phones. I keep the cell phone on the wall in a holder about two feet from the base. If you get the cell too close to the base it can cause the sound quality to go down...the reccomended minimum distance is 6 inches up to at the outer limit- 10 feet. This system has made being landline free in our household where cell signal in any given spot can be flaky work very well.

Replaced a ten year old, worn out AT&T 4 unit set that lost the use of keypads. The technological advancement of the KX-TG454 is amazing. The available features are numerous and frankly some beyond my technical pay grade or personal usefulness. The talking caller I.D. Comically mis- pronounces names, but we have CID on our television and have opted to turn it off, it though it is a worthwhile option. Range is very good, as are ease of use ( post reading the voluminous manual ) I chose to just keep it out and referred to it many times during the first week. We do not utilize the cell phone pairing feature, I found it waaaay to technically deep to set up and could not rationalize the practical benefit for us. Great Set of Phones
This set of phones is extremely easy to set up and it does everything it states it will do it does. My wife loves the little ditty I picked for the incoming ring tone. It's a great set of phones. Our older Panasonic was really good but it was showing it's age but the main reason I bought these is the call block feature. We make note of the caller ID of those callers that ignore the Do Not Call List and program those numbers in and we're gradually getting fewer annoying calls. Great features and easy to setup.
Phones were easy to setup and had easy to read displays with large buttons. The system has the ability to make phone calls when the power is out using the battery of the phone on the main base to power the unit. The ability to block individual or group phone calls is really nice to stop annoying sales pitch calls from automatic systems.
