    Vintage P5Q Pro motherboard

Saved my personal PC build after power supply unit surged (Didn't realize what a piece of junk it was until reading reviews after the meltdown) and event also took out a DVD drive and the original P5Q Deluxe motherboard. Word to the wise, Backup redundantly; whole system with data, data only and clone your main drive as well. May seem like paranoia but I had two backups made with two different software and the first one FAILED!!! Do not want to ever be in that scary position again. A single episodic constantly running backup is not enough, especially if you have never tested its ability to save your system and data in the event you really, really need it. This motherboard was clean, the shipping was prompt and I think the price was decent on an otherwise increasingly more difficult ...

  • P5Q Pro LGA 775

This is an excellent priced board if you are stilling using DDR2 LGA 775 socket. It has the ability to obtain terrific OC'ing speeds and detailed voltage and protocol adjustments for advanced OCs. The only downside to this board is if you desire to Crossfire two GPU's together you are stuck in the slower x8 speed for the cards. While this is a terrific upgrade from an x8/x4 setup, you still loose about 10-20 percent on performance from the true x16/x16 speed setup. To obtain an board that supports this though you have to pay double or triple what this board cost. Overall for the LGA 775 socket this is about the best board you can get at an excellent price. If you are considering anything else you might as well step up to the newer technology and get one of the lower end boards with ...

  • Still making music!

Had a failing system and acquired this slightly used but great working MB to keep an older Protools workstation up and running in my studio. Faster processor than the original too. Thanks for the fast shipment and great buying experience.

  • Works

Worked right out of the box with a Q6600. Modified my X5460 with a sticker, uploaded micro code to the bios, off to the races with a Xeon.
