I had a question regarding the lightmeter, and they responded promptly- the next business day. Then I purchased the camera and they shipped it out the same day. The product arrived sooner than expected and was well-packaged. The physical condition of the camera is as pictured. I have yet to test the light meter functionality because I need to get a battery; however, everything appears to be in good shape. I 've bought from KEH Outlet before, and always had good service.

    Underrated Bargain,...hence Cheap!!

Light, even with MB-16. Really just a baby F100. Not quite the build quality, but does everything an F100 can do, including built in diopter, at a third the cost. Plus it has a pop up flash. Best thing and worse thing is viewfinder. The auto light up focus points in day or night are a combo of an F100 and F5. However,....viewfinder coverage is 92%. (F100 is 96%, F4/F5 is 100%) Either way, ...better than a point and shoot. And, yes, an N80 is exactly the same camera.

Love Nikkon just not this one

Unfortunately the person that sold this camera was less then truthful. There were many unrepairable elements on the house. The lens also had damage. The automatic options were unrepairable. Ended up purchasing a new Nikkon.

  • Nikon F80 used (as brand new) camera

I have bought this Nikon F80 mint condition body with strap and with original japanese user manual. A great brand's excellent SLR film camera. This body was used for Nikon's new digital cameras as well, so it has a lot of late functions of it. Actually this is a simpyfied F100. All in all it is really a great device with excellent picture quality and rich comfort functions. I love it!

  • Best "disposable" Nikon for cheapskates!

Only two things lacking on this camera body, 1) the aperture feeler tab that allows Ai and Ai-S lens to work and 2)1/2 stop exposure compensation rather than 1/3. It works with manual focus lenses that have been retrofitted with the Dandelion chip and gives you 3D Matrix metering-- on Ai'd lenses work out your exposure compensation f-stop by f-stop on a digital body to deal with the pre Ai linear aperture curve and apply your findings in aperture priority mode for perfect exposure. And if your N80 breaks, buy another good working body to replace it! I roll my own b&w, set it on spot metering and shoot Zone all day: happiness for peanuts! Spot on exposures for color print in priority mode, buy a cheapo SB-50DX flash and get the same dead on exposures in full flash or fill.

  • Best unknown bargain in a Nikon 35 mm film SLR camera.

If you want to shoot 35 mm film and have it developed for slides or prints, this camera is an excellent bargain. It is a better camera than the N90. It is almost as fine as the F100 at a fraction of the cost. The N80, also known as the F80 in Europe, has a sophisticated autofocus and auto-exposure. But you can also set it in full manual control. It has so many settings and features that you'll need the manual (or a Magic Lantern Guide) to get the full use of it, yet it can also just easily point & shoot in auto. The camera electronics are basically similar to the more expensive F100 -- but if you're going to use modern AF autofocus lenses with it, then you won't get much more out of the F100 than you will with this N80. One minor drawback is that it takes a couple of lithium ...
