    APPLE IPOD SHUFFLE, 4TH GEN.

    Outside of the following issue, this iPod is excellent. Had I known it was so easy to operate and hold all the songs I truly love in such a small package, I would have purchased one earlier. Issue: According to the instructions, I should be able to press the VOICE OVER BUTTON once to hear the current song being played; this feature does not work. What can be done about this? Can I simply get a replacement and send the defective one back? Please advise. Otherwise I love it. Thank you

    Easy to carry; serves its purpose as a simple music device for walking/running.

    The earphones are very poor. My earphones from my previous iPod Shuffle (2nd generation, I believe, 2009) are much, much better. I don't believe the voice-over function works. It does hold many more songs. Overall, not a better product from the older version.

    ipod 4th generation

    overall it is a great little unit. just a couple of items that don't work for me. 1) it is very very small so handling it can be a bit tricky. i had a 1st generation which was much easier to manipulate. 2) there is no usb port. it comes with a cable that interfaces between the headphone out and a usb port for charging. in an of itself that is fine but it is limited because one cannot be charging and playing the unit at the same time. sound quality is great and battery life great.

    Some older thing are better.

    Although it is an older Apple product that is no longer made, the Waterproof Shuffle is perfect for use in the pool. It has a new battery, so I will get a few good years out of it. It is easy to program using my iTunes application on my laptop. I don’t have to play with it in the pool except to turn it on and off, unlike the Apple Watch which has more features than necessary for use working out in the pool, so I don’t waste time that I could use instead for a good water workout.
