    Speed, power, and durability Porter Cable RULES

    Porter Cable makes the BEST routers in woodworking. This model is a little dated but even used, it has plenty of power . The variable speed makes it easier to avoid burn on hardwood and the soft-start feature makes it very stable at start-up. Large bits, small bits, all work well and the single-wrench feature saves knuckles when changing bits. The only negative is that my Porter Cable edge guide does not fit. Not a real big deal as my PC 690 still works with it.
