Might have worked. This review is not a reflection on the seller. Pins are different from the original--new pins' bases are flared, original are not. Unsoldering awkward. My time is too valuable to spend trying to resolder the tiny pins. Giving up and buying a new charging base at only twice the cost of two Repair Kits.

This is the first time I'm hearing of issues like this. I tell all my customers that have questions or doubt their soldering ability to just simply contact Ember and request a new coaster, they have good customer service and will most likely send you one free of charge.
