About this product

Product Information

Resident Evil: Outbreak takes a turn from previous outings in the survival horror series by featuring a multiplayer online component. The narrative is broken down into chapters, allowing up to four players to experience the world of Resident Evil together for the first time. Players initially choose from a lineup of eight characters, six males and two females, who each possess distinct skills or techniques. Some characters may be proficient in a specific style of weapon, while others may be able to open locked doors more efficiently. The choice of characters becomes important since teamwork is often needed to advance through the zombie-filled office buildings, bars, subways, and dilapidated mansions in and around the cursed Raccoon City. One player, for example, may have to distract a group of zombies, while another works on picking a lock or solving a puzzle as quickly as possible. Resident Evil: Outbreak requires a broadband connection in order to play online, but the game also features a single-player mode for those brave enough to go it alone.

    Challenging, Nostalgic, Gory & Awesome

Because it’s more challenging than the other Resident Evil PS2 series. I myself only played Dead Aim & a few others for the PS3. I viewed some of the other games played online, & still have yet to see any as unique as Outbreak. It sets a high standard for you to achieve the mission. It’ll frustrate you but in a relentless & proactive way. Due to having teammates you have to look after & solve issues with. It is due to the reason of each member of your team having special characteristics, that you’ll want to make sure as many stay alive as possible. The game sets realistic standards and even though fictional, mature scenarios you have to complete.

  • Umbrella Review

Well Resident evil Outbreak is some what different from the other Resident evils. For a start there a 8 charecters and over 20 unlockable charecters. There is also a large variety of monsters which include; Zombies, Lickers,Hunter Gamma's, Dogs and many others. One of the most intresting things is that we get to see Raccoon City is Playstation 2 graphics. The story takes over 5 seperate scenarios the last one "Decisions Decisions" is longer and more complex than the other scenarios in the game. The story also changes depending on what charecter you play each scenario as. For example in the "Below Frezing Point" scenario if you play as "Yoko" you get a magnum where as the rest of the charecters don't. There are also lots of extra features for you to buy each time you complete a scenario you ...

  • My personal review of Resident Evil Outbreak

Well, first off, I bought this game for one reason, it was Resident Evil. For those of you who've played Resident Evil 4 and claim to be a big fan of the series, avoid this game. There's nothing similer about these two games. Those who have played the original Resident Evil titles, you'll enjoy this more than the RE4 fans. Those of you who are new to the series and want to try out a Resident Evil game, check this one out before RE4. A main thing on this is the Online play, which, is fun, can also lag a bit if you don't have a HDD Resident Evil 4 is a good game, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing like the other RE titles. If you just want to check out a fun and simple Action Adventure video game that's completely linear, try out RE4. If you want try out an origianl Resident Evil, try out ...

  • Lots of fun!

Resident Evil Outbreak involves several charecters trying to flee the Racoon City Viral outbreak. You can choose one of several charecters to play, each with there own strengths and weaknesses. Gameplay is very easy to pick up on and charecter co-op is pretty cool as well. Loading times and going thru different doors can be a bit of pain since you have to wait for the system to load. The game has several old enemies as well as some tougher ones. The game involves several scenarios and can be beat with each different charecter, unlocking new items and scenes each time. All in all its a fun game for 20 dollars to kill zombies and other enemies when your frustrated from work. Storylines run from resident evil 0 to the third installment. Not the best Resident EVil game, but fun regardless if ...

  • Overall good

The game is ok. It’s cheaper then other resident evil games, probably because the camera angles when you’re walking kinda makes you go cross eyed. I recently got another ps2 because eventually I want one of every console again. I needed a game to test with and the price was really good on this game. I had fun playing it. One downside is the game is really dark and would probably look better on a old tv. I was playing on a 4k and it was horrible.
