Have been using I576's for years on Direct Talk. Needed some backup units for 3 unit system. 3 backups of the 4 would be great but as new batteries were not part of the deal 4 could still be fine. Good price, fast shipment, for great encrypted communicators.

The phone was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. This phone was a replacement for an older Motorola i560 that was damaged (I ran over it with my work van and the main screen was broken, but the phone still worked!). I use my phone as a phone and didn't need a camera, web access, or a bunch of aps. This phone fits the bill and was selected for it's ruggedness. If you need a good, rugged phone and not a handheld computer, this is a great option. My only complaint is the Direct Connect and volume buttons on the side are a little too sensitive. Other than that, it's a great little phone.
Finally, a Motorola phone that doesn't need an extended battery- this gets the best battery life of any iden phone I have used. The phone is built very solid and the key-pad layout is the best yet and the internal screen is very clear. The audio quality is very good both on voice and dc calls- there is however,a noticeable hiss on voice calls when the signal is weak. One of the new features is the back-lighted external display- you can find it in the dark, and is very visible in sunlight.
Actually ran over this phone in the grass and it still is working. This phone has no camera but receives picture mail. Great quick connect phone. Simple design and easy to use.
Of all the phones I have ever owned, the Motorola i576 is one of the best for pulling in signals for both voice calls and walkie-talkie contact. The battery life is phenomenal! I typically use it with a bluetooth headset and it still talks at least 8 hours before needing a charge. It can be used on Nextel or Boost. I have used it on both, and the phone does not need to be 'unlocked'. I have purchased a few of these phones for friends and family. Sometimes the PTT button becomes detached. One drawback is the Java powered alarm clock feature. Whenever I set the alarm clock, it will go off whenever it wants, usually up to one hour after the alarm setting. So I always set it one hour before I want to actually get up. Other than that, this is a rugged little flip phone and I recommend it.Read full review
We got these to use for group/family activities ... avoid other folks whom are using FRS/GMRS radios. These are digital and will even let you know if it connects with one of your party. Google "Motorola Nextel Direct Talk" you can see how for just a few dollars, you can utilize highly secure, less interrupted communications for your group.

Good phone. Its not their best, dosen't claim to be. Nice small size if you don't like big phones. Sort of in the rugged class like the i530-i560 and not necessarly the i580. No camera, basic. Does everything else the standard Nextel line does, just in a smaller package. Some complain the menus come up slow. Menus are a bit slow, but it isn't a iphone, give it a second. It is what it is, a small good quality, inexpensive Nextel phone.
I like this product because i have had one just like it.I use it on my job to talk to customers. It is a good phone and also a good walkie type phone. The battery life is not as good as others but that is probably because it is not as new. However for the price that i paid for it, it is a awesome deal.
I like the phone. The first one I has went bad after about a year and a half. I bought one on ebay because I could get one without a contract. I only wish the phone lasted longer.
