FLAP SAYS: COYOTE SHIFTER MERCY THOMPSON KNOWS THAT LIFE WITH HER MATE THE ALPHA WEREWOLF ADAM WILL NEVER BE BORING but even their wedding doesnt' go as planned. never the less the 10 day honeymoon camping on the banks of the columbia river alone, just the two of them should make up for it. but the trip and the pimped out trailer they are using is a courtesy of the fae. and nothing from the fae comes without strings attached. can you say ROADTRIP? again, kim harrison's pale demon - road trip. now patricia briggs........ road trip. although.... while kim was on the road almost the entire book, mercy and adam are eventually camping for what seems like a month, when it's only a few days. and It's an extremely detailed oriented book, you really have to pay attention, and sometimes, it gets a little much.... and a little long...... and i was getting bored and getting anxious for the end, .... i will confess that at one point looking for the book mark, i accidentally saw the last page, and it bothered me. and i tried to stay away and couldn't and after reading it i was depressed. then i read the previous chapter and felt better.... but the book seems to really be a slow one, paying much attention to details and having one tragedy albeit small, happen one after another.....all those legends, all those questions with no real answers. majorly fustrating now we have to wait until 2012 for the next book, oh and a thought, how come mercy just didn't shift at the end go repair damage? i read so many of these types of books and most of them have the shifters, shifting to wolf and back to human to make repairs...... maybe they don't do that in this series,Read full review
I absolutely love this Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. Someone recommended it to my, after I enjoyed the Twilight series. I must say, as an adult, I enjoyed this series much more! Silverbourne left me mourning, the "last" of the series, I was like a lost puppy. Then Briggs added River Marked to the lineup! I was not disappointed. Was actually a bit of a faster paced read then the previous in the series, but still just as intense and addicting. I think there was enough loose strings, to still carry on the series into another book, and I anxiously await to continue satisfying my craving for Mercy & Adam's relationship to grow in Briggs imagination and awesome writing talents!
Can't wait for the next one. I love this writer I mean I love Laurell K Hamilton, Kelley Armstrong and Kim Harrison. All great writers in my frame of mind. I recommend this book to other people. :):)
My personal favorite of the Mercy Thompson series. I love how we got to know her family background more. I have such a hard time putting down any of Patricia's books down, but this one is even harder.
Really good book. Patricia Briggs is a good writer. I love her books. I cant wait until the next one.
