Felt a yearning to play some Tecmo, found this game online, made the purchase. Well worth the 7 bucks! Played on my kid's old Gameboy Advance -- worked great!

This game is based upon the original Nintendo NES game that came out in the late 1980's. Aside from a few minor graphical and sound changes, the two games are identical. The game boy version is, in my opinion, a very good football video game. It's very easy to learn how to play. You only have four plays to choose from whether you are playing offense or defense, but there is room for plenty of improvisation. The computer plays a pretty good game, and the two player mode is even better. You can play as a wide range of teams, but you won't see any team names or logos. The game failed to acquire the NFL Team license, but did acquire the National Football League Players Association license. Therefore, all of teams are identified only by their city, but all of the players of the 1989 season are there. Overall, Tecmo Bowl is a fun game. If you can get it for a pretty good price, I would definitely recommend it. By the way, it plays great on the Game Boy Advance!Read full review

Madden has been the rage, but this Classic football is always fun to play! It has rosters of 12 teams from the 1988 season, kinda nice for nostalga sake. You choose 4 Off and 4 Def plays. For Off Pass plays, you have 2 Receivers you can toggle from and pass the ball. The only flaw is if you catch a Punt in the End Zone, its a Safety and not a touchback. You can play just for fun, or pick a team and play a whole season. Great fun, the Computer player gives you a good game, its not one game you find a flaw and then run up the score and win 100-0. Get it on Ebay while you still can!
Great Game! Just like the real version on Nintendo Game System. No real complaints at this time. It seems to have all of the features of the real Tecmo Bowl. I have enjoyed this version because you can take it with you and not have to pull the game out and blow on it for it to work like the Nintendo.
