Even though I bought this model 'used' and slightly incomplete (thank you USPS)it was an amazing build. It is very easy to appreciate the amount of attention to detail that went into its design. Way to go Lego! I proudly display it at my place of business and it always impresses those who see it for the first time. This set is worth every penny that I spent. I highly recommend this set for the serious collector. But be careful! This model is a little bit shaky, so if you have kids or pets, keep it out of their reach, or it will fall apart. I recommend this model for adults only or you are just throwing your money away.
At 3,200 pieces, this is by far the largest puzzle I have ever tried to put together. Find, somewhere, a manual before attempting. Parts came in sealed plastic bags in discreet quantities, corresponding with the standard manual, making it possible to keep parts separate for each individual step.

It’s fun to assemble and for 2002, a massive LEGO set. The bottom panels do seem to fall off easy and whatnot,/m so the engineering could have been improved. I used a twine to shore-up the frames to bring some stability to the ship.

This set is very fun to build, albeit somewhat challenging. Took about 12 hours total to complete. The magnets are an interesting way to hold the completed model together. -Multiple small pieces, so sorting before definitely helps

It's a fantastic set, and I never managed to get one when it was on store shelves.
