more features than an ipod...cheaper price!!
I just bought the Philips 6gb mp3 player and i am very pleased with it. Some of the things i love about this player is that it has big song capicty of 3000 songs for a cost that is much lower than an ipod. It also can hold a large number of photos too. It has FM radio which u can record songs off of. Also it has a voice recorder that can be useful in many ways. The sensory touch pad allows super scroll action that can allow u to find the song u want and fast. It is very touchy though and the slightest touch could change the song but its not a big problem if u put the hold button on. The earphones that come with the player are great for noiseless listening where all u want to hear is the music and no backround noise. Also comes with a free silicon protective case to keep the player safe ... I just bought the Philips 6gb mp3 player and i am very pleased with it. Once you can figure that out than it shouldnt be a problem everytime. I also disliked the battery life of this device. It doesnt last as long as most mp3 players and constantly needs charging. The average battery life for this device is around 4 hours or less. But overall i am satisfied with what i got and for the cheap price much lower than that of an ipod. So if u are looking for a mp3 player with good quality and sound, but dont want to pay $200 or more for an ipod, i recommend the 6gb philips gogear mp3 player.

This mp3 player is very cool from the way the scrollpad lights up when you touch it and the size and easiness to use it. It is also a bargain at the $200 price tag for 6gb now compare that to an outdated looking Ipod. It also holds pictures, has a FM tuner, voice recording, and has a very cool thing where u can change the skin to either a black background or a pearl blue background. The only thing i didnt like about the mp3 player is how it smudges so easily but its only noticible under direct light. In search for moderately prized midsize MP3 player, my eyes fell on the Philips 6GB GoGear. Reviews on various web-sides ranged from exellent to awful, although some criticisms were also kind of childish like "leaves fingerprints". After about 1 months of usage I can only describe this purchase as exceeding all expectations. It is easy to program and use, the sound quality is excellent and the ear-phones comfortable, with nice small size. It holds about 1500 songs (mp3 format). Besides songs, it has an fm radio, can store pictures, and record audio. Being priced 25 to 50 % lower than some of the other brand names, it is a steal without losing any quality. Not as Great as it was made out to be!
I bought this player for my wife as a Christmas gift this past Christmas because she wanted an MP3 player for music as well as photos and the salesperson at the store I bought it from really talked this one up. Well, I wish I would have kept looking! The music loads easy enough with Windows XP and Windows Media player but several songs just don't don't sound like they do from the disk they are from. Some sound like they skip a little. This may be in the transfer process from my PC to the MP3 but I'm not sure. As far as the photos, forget it with this one. I still can't get a photo to load onto it! Windows Media Player will show it being loaded and that the device took it but when you go into the device in Windows Media Player, it's not there. Their customer support on their web site ... My wife complains that she always has to charge it. With all that said, I would walk by this one in the store and look for another brand.

I bought the MP3 player because of the storage it allowed for all my music I listen to. I had bought a smaller mp3 player from creative and it was such junk. I was so mad the creative zen mp3 buttons were so hard to push to get it turned on, I was ready to throw it out the window. A friend at work had just bought a Philips 8 GB MP3 and he asked if I could load some songs on it. I was amazed at how easy it was to load and sleek the design was. Now in the time of Ipod's, I wasn't ready to spend $300 or $400 for one. So I found a 6GB philips MP3 for cheaper than what the stores were asking, and its great. I have learned the touch pad is very touchy, but other than that it works great. The earphone that came with it really block out all sound and I was amazed. I can do my walking in ... The battery is another less feature I like, the life span of it in a car is only about 2 hours max. It states it has a 4 hour capability, but it's not so. On a recent trip to Washington, it didn't even make 200 miles. But I am searching for a plug in so that I can keep the battery powered while driving. I have only 600 songs on it, and I have yet to fill it to capacity. The other features of putting your favorites is even better. With Windows Media player, if you have your playlist ready, it transfers with ease and it's completely fast. The 600 songs I have loaded took a total of 15 minutes to upload. Not only that, I can even put pictures and video on the MP3 player. So if I have family member who hasn't seen recent pictures of our daughters, i can show them on my MP3 player. I do like it. Just wish the battery would last longer. Or at least have an option to put batteries in it and let it not be running music while it's powering up. I don't regret buying it. I think it was a great buy. It came with more storage than the Ipod for the price I bought it at. Which made it even better.
