No effect on CYA level
tried 16 ounces in an 8,000 gallon pool, double dose since I was at 300ppm CYA (confirmed by testing dilutions), chlorine was right at 3ppm, let it run for 10 days, no change at all. Basically just wanted to avoid dumping half my water but obviously that is the less expensive solution.

Pool shop couldnt believe the results.
This stuff is amazing. I bought this over a year ago and when I went into the pool shop the guy at the time told me "your water temp needs to be in 70's to work best" so I waited until spring 2022. Before I used it got my water tested, cyanuric acid was through the roof. Used this stuff and got on with my pool business for another half a year. Back to the pool shop I went as my chems where out of wac last week, different guy this time was telling me I would have to drain the pool blah blah and then he saw the results 'What did you do, you said you didnt drain the water?". This stuff works, read the instructions and dont have pool water 80f+. This stuff is amazing. Cyanuric Acid Reducer
This was exactly what we ordered. It seemed to reduce the Cyanuric Acid in our pool. It says that it can take up to a month to reduce the Cyanuric Acid to it's lowest level.

Didn't work for me.
I purchased this for a 40,000 gallon pool. My reading was up to about 140 but the tester I have isn't exactly precise. After the first application and 7 days later it seemed like it maybe went down to about 120. I decided to buy another bag and after 7 more days the level was still 120-140 so I now attribute the lower reading the first time to the tester, not the fact that this actually worked. I was diligent in keeping the other chemical levels where they needed to be based on the directions.I purchased this for a 40,000 gallon pool.
