    Nice power supply but some description issues.

    Nice looking assembly with well laid out controls and meters. The soldering inside was done well, assemblies and components laid out well. Heavy capacitors were glued, but some free standing TO2 packages we not supported (not uncommon). Components looked to be all low cost generic but what do you expect for the price? The dual analog meters is the main reason for choosing this item and they work fine. The current hi and low scale is nice. The problem with this item's description is that it is not a 0-30 volt power supply it is a 0 -18 volt supply. The number 1830 and the picture are correct as well as it being a 54W unit. (18 volt x 3 Amp = 54). Under the specs the MPN number is GPS-1830D which is wrong. There should be no "D" suffix. That is a different unit that is 30V. I realized ...
