I bought this for my 3 year old, but I didn't really like this game. I didn't realize when I bought it that the stories and characters were all Japanese...Chinese...something Asian. Now, I have nothing against this, but I thought the stories would all be traditional..and there was only one that was, the 3 little pigs. I've only listened to one of the other stories and it had a very sad ending. I guess traditional Japanese fairy tales don't have happy endings. There's a simple counting game that's okay. The coloring book part is okay...not very many options and very small pictures. Also, there's a thing where you can play the harp....again, kind of boring. Overall, it wasn't worth the money I paid for it.
My grandson loves this and it is easy for him. He is 2 and is a tech geek already.

This review has nothing to do with the purchase through the seller. It has to do soley with the DS game. For a young child wanting to play DS, it is easy to navigate through the games, etc. However, some of the options are very basic and have not as many options. The characters sounds are really weird and the small stoies are ok. My daughter play it but gets bored.
My grandchildren love this DS game. They are looking for the other two. fantastic item. I recomend this DS Storybook for those that have younger children. This game reads the stories to you or you can read them yourself. There are other games to interacte with also.
it seems that the activities are good and would be fun for a beginner, but the Stories really are below average. They are not like "classic" stories adults grew up with. They also have characters that have asian names. Just seems out of place.
