    The system is very simple to connect and program. The app was recently undated and has a lot of control features. Could be the best smart system in the market.

    This hub works great - as long as you don't intend to use it remotely. Was not accessible from the internet. Had it checked by my internet provider (Port is open) after having it checked by Insteon's tech service (granted access to my system). Internet access remains non-existent. If you want or need an Insteon hub, try the newer model, the 2245-222.

    Sometimes older is better.

    I prefer this to the more recent model because it still works with HouseLinc software. I use commands like a turn-on one hour before sunset and perhaps a later dimming of that light at 11PM. I could not do that with the iphone app.

    Great unit easy to work with

    Better than the 2245-222....this model does NOT require internet access to the Insteon central site. It also has X10 access as well as Insteon radio

    Third one I've had to replace!

    The 2245-222 has a design flaw that under some unknown condition, perhaps a voltage surge, the same circuit board component and trace in both failed units burned. The part is burned beyond identification and circuit path is destroyed. I recommend it only because there is nothing better to control my Insteon devices.
