The seller packed it very well. The camera seems working but I've not tried it yet. The reasons are: (1) It is a GRD III, not GR III I wanted; (2) The camera received is somehow different than the photo on the website. The lens ring is missed, and the edge of LCD screen is not good. Need to return it.

    Ricoh Digital III

    This compact camera has accompanied me on many outings for street photography. And I am always impressed at how easy it is to use.(Certainly as compared to the film cameras I use and enjoy.) The snap focus feature delivers sharp images, and the black-and-white files print out similar to my analog prints which take much longer to do. It is a fun camera to use on the go, a quick process. Newer versions have better processors and sensors that produce larger files. I prefer this one for now. The files I am getting are good enough to exhibit at the 60x60cm size.

    A truly excellent small sensor camera

    A GREAT pocketable digital camera. Fast RAW write speed and much improved high ISO perfromance over the GRD 1 that I previously owned. The lens is excellent. I never use a zoom anyway, and the 28mm eqiv. focal length seems to work out well for my use of this camera. User interface is great. This has to be among the best small sensor cameras avaiable.

    take photo in daylight. night n indoor still need improvement

    GRDIII is a great camera. Offcourse, as GRDIV came out, we should go for the new model. It is way more than a compact camera. The only camera on this range is Fuji X100. it is a league of its own.

    Using a GR

    I bought the first model because it made RAW files. It did but slowly everything about the camera was good but it was a slow write speed. Buying this GR111 has corrected it. Its a great little camera.
