When I opened the box and saw all those pieces I thought I would need an engineering degree to put it together, but it has simple instructions that were easy to follow. I was able to assemble it within a few minutes and I am 80 with bad vision. I thought it would be too flimsy to actually hold anything but it is holding shoes, umbrellas and sweaters and is still sturdy enough to hang my purse on it.
